Chores in the Country
Inside, indoor chores are mostly all the same in the country and the city.
In both the country and the city, people have to vacuum and clean around the house. But in the country, because people have more land, there are more chores to do outside.
For example, if your house has a lawn, it needs to be mowed. People usually mow their lawns once per week.
And if leaves fall on a deck, it is important to sweep them. Decks need to be swept often. And if you have a big deck, you have more to sweep.
One chore that many have to do in the country is rake leaves. In the fall, if leaves fall on your lawn, you have to use a rake to get them off.
Another thing people have to do is to clean their gutters. This mostly only happens once in a while, but often, gutters in the country have more dead leaves in them.
One thing that brings a lot of chores is a garden. Gardens are great because you can grow flowers and produce, but they are also a lot of work.
Gardens need to be watched very carefully, and if weeds grow, it is important to take them out.
At the end of weeding, you might have a lot of weeds to get rid of.
With a garden, you also need to make sure you water it every day. Watering a garden makes it grow. This is another chore in the country.
Once the garden has produced fruits and vegetables, you need to pick them. If you don’t pick the fruit at the right time, it will go bad.
Also, if you have animals, it is important to feed them. Because many people in the country have a lot of animals, they have to feed them a lot.
One chore people do every once in a while is to pressure wash. Pressure washing cleans the dirt off of an area.
In the city, people usually go to a car wash to clean their cars, but in the country, they wash their cars in their driveways. This takes time.
And in the wintertime, if it snows, it is important to remove the snow from your driveway. If you don’t, the snow will turn into ice.
But of course, doing the chores is worth it. Many find living in the country peaceful, even though there is a lot of extra work.
